One of the smartest decisions my wife and I have ever made was to hire Lorin to rent out and manage our home in Bethesda, MD. Our standards are high, and Lorin has exceeded them. He's knowledgeable about the real estate market, organized, efficient, dependable, super responsive, and friendly to boot. We knew very early on that we had chosen the right person for the job. Lorin worked with our outgoing tenants to get our house ready to rent again. He brought in contractors to touch up the place, advertised our property, reviewed the applications, negotiated the rent with our new tenants, made sure we met all the requirements for renting out our house, drew up the lease, and arranged to have some or our furniture put in storage. He even accompanied the movers to the storage facility in Dulles! Throughout this process he kept us informed, either by text or by email. Prior to hiring Lorin, we were managing our property on our own from afar. In retrospect, this was a mistake. It is hard to overstate the peace of mind that Lorin has given us. No longer do we have to worry about our tenants texting us about a broken ice maker or a drainage issue. No longer do we have to deal with contractors while living halfway around the world. Lorin is on top of everything. His company is not huge, so clients like us benefit from his personal touch. I imagine a large property management company would charge much more without providing better service.
